APRIL 17

Those Who Destroy the Earth

“And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.” - Rev 11:18

In this passage were are told that in the end times there would exist evil men that will be destroyed for destroying the earth. In the Book of Revelation 18:23, we are told about evil men that will use deceptions and phamaceuticals to control people in the end times, and unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened (Matt 23:22).

In the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John gives us insight into a group of men that were alive in the days preceding the return of Jesus who were able to control all nations by their sorceries and deceptions.

The Greek word used here for "deceive" (Strong's G4105 - planaō) is also used in the Parable of the Lost Sheep and is translated as "astray" in Matthew 18:12-13.

"How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray? And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that sheep, than of the ninety and nine which went not astray."

In these passages, this Greek word means; go astray, seduce, cause to go astray, to be led into error, to lead away from truth, and to be led aside from path of virtue.

The Greek word used in this passage for "sorceries" is "pharmakeia." This word is used three, times in the New Testament, but this verse (Rev 18:23) is the only place where it is used in the context of:

the use or the administering of drugs, poisoning
medication (pharmacy), i.e. (by extension) magic (literally or figuratively).
sorcery, witchcraft, magical arts, often found in connection with idolatry and fostered by it.

When looking at the state of our world today we see that the people of the earth are consuming prescription drugs, vaccines, and illegal drugs in numbers as never before in human history. One thing is certain. There has never been a time in history where the possibility for people of the earth to be controlled in this manner like today.

AND THE MERCHANTS OF THE EARTH WILL WEEP AND MOURN

“And the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise anymore."

APRIL 20

Will Our Animals Be in Heaven?

"Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel." - Proverbs 12:10

Will our pets and animals be in heaven with us? There are several Bible verses where God is mindful of animals. He saved animals from the flood in Noah's day. Jesus was born in manger surrounded by animals. Jesus rode on a donkey into Jerusalem and is coming back on a white horse. No one knows for sure if animals will be with us in Heaven. But the Scriptures clearly shows God love and mindfulness for our animals.

AND BEASTS ACCORDING TO THEIR KIND

And God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds—livestock and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds. And it was so."

THE LORD GOD FORMED EVERY BEAST

Hosanna in the Highest

"Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!” - Mark 11:10

The word used for "Hosanna" in this passage is STRONGS G5614: ὡσαννά, "an exclamation of adoration." Hosanna and is often translated "Please Save Us."

The Hebrew word, “hoshi’a na, is translated in Greek as “(h)osanna.” In English, we known it as “hosanna.” The original intent of the word is to “Save!” It is viewed as a plea for help. It’s as if we were yelling “stop!”

How Can I Be Saved?

You’ve probably seen John 3:16 posted somewhere on a sign, written on a freeway overpass, at a concert, at a sporting event, or even read to you as a little child. This verse is a simple one. There are 20 monosyllables (single words) in the verse. The Gospel is meant to be simple for everyone!

Be sure of your Salvation. Right now, and pray this simple prayer with a sincere heart...
“Lord, forgive me for my sins. I confess that I am a sinner. Come into my heart and make me the person you created me to be. I receive your gift of pardon through Jesus dying for me on the cross to save me. – Amen”

It was once determined in a court of law that a pardon is only a pardon when it is accepted. There is a true story about a man that refused his pardon. A judge ruled that a pardon is only a pardon when it is accepted. When you prayed that prayer and accepted God’s pardon for your sins, you became a new creation in Christ.

The Bible teaches that you are saved by faith through Jesus. Grow in the Grace that was just given to you, seek God in His word (The Bible) and go out tell somebody!
