JUNE 01

I Have Placed My Rainbow in the Clouds

The rainbow was a sign from God to Noah that He promised never to destroy the earth by flood for the judgment of sin.

When you see rainbows in the sky today, we know that every rainbow represents a sign of the covenant made thousands of years ago between God and man and all the animals.

You can trust that God will remain faithful to his promise and that never again will another flood wipe out all life on earth. God made His covenant rooted in grace, love, mercy and forgiveness. God made this covenant in ancient times that He still honors today. The rainbow should remind us that you can trust God’s faithfulness no matter what you are going through.

GOD'S COVENANT WITH YOU AND ALL THE ANIMALS

“I hereby confirm my covenant with you and your descendants, and with all the animals that were on the boat with you—the birds, the livestock, and all the wild animals—every living creature on earth. Yes, I am confirming my covenant with you. Never again will floodwaters kill all living creatures; never again will a flood destroy the earth.” Then God said, “I am giving you a sign of my covenant with you and with all living creatures, for all generations to come. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds.”

ALL AROUND HIM WAS A GLOWING HALO, LIKE A RAINBOW

“Above this surface was something that looked like a throne made of blue lapis lazuli. And on this throne high above was a figure whose appearance resembled a man. From what appeared to be his waist up, he looked like gleaming amber, flickering like a fire. And from his waist down, he looked like a burning flame, shining with splendor. THE GLOW OF AN EMERALD CIRCLED HIS THRONE LIKE A RAINBOW

NOW THE EARTH WAS CORRUPT IN THE SIGHT OF GOD

How Can I Be Saved?

You’ve probably seen John 3:16 posted somewhere on a sign, written on a freeway overpass, at a concert, at a sporting event, or even read to you as a little child. This verse is a simple one. There are 20 monosyllables (single words) in the verse. The Gospel is meant to be simple for everyone!

Be sure of your Salvation. Right now, and pray this simple prayer with a sincere heart...
“Lord, forgive me for my sins. I confess that I am a sinner. Come into my heart and make me the person you created me to be. I receive your gift of pardon through Jesus dying for me on the cross to save me. – Amen”

It was once determined in a court of law that a pardon is only a pardon when it is accepted. There is a true story about a man that refused his pardon. A judge ruled that a pardon is only a pardon when it is accepted. When you prayed that prayer and accepted God’s pardon for your sins, you became a new creation in Christ.

The Bible teaches that you are saved by faith through Jesus. Grow in the Grace that was just given to you, seek God in His word (The Bible) and go out tell somebody!
